Career Mathematics PathwayTM
Mathematics with a purpose - from topic to career.
CMP connects every mathematics topic to an application, a career, a university programme and portfolio evidence. One coherent framework for students in Grades 10–12 who want mathematics to have a real purpose.

Pilot enrolment
Free for students. School-first. Globally capped.
During the CMP pilot, Grade 10 students (or sophomore high school / SHS 1 equivalent) enrol at no cost once their school has joined the network. Schools apply below and nominate a supervising teacher. Independent learners may also apply, but the total pilot cohort is strictly limited.

Independent learners
Not at a partner school? Apply directly below. The CMP secretariat will review each independent application.
Partnership
Become a CMP Partner School
Student enrolment is free, but a school must join the Career Mathematics PathwayTM network first. Register your school and nominate one supervising teacher. The CMP secretariat will review your application and be in touch.
The CMP framework
Four pillars that turn mathematics into a career.
Every student journey in CMP is built on the same four load-bearing ideas: diagnostic, pathway, portfolio and readiness, mapped to Grade 10–12 units, university programmes and real-world professional practice.
01
Diagnostic baseline
Students begin with a mathematics and readiness diagnostic that sets their true starting point. No assumptions, no gaps hidden.
02
Career pathway
One of seven pathways (Medicine, Engineering, Architecture, Business, Technology, Environmental Science or Sports Science) anchors every unit to a destination.
03
Portfolio evidence
Investigations, applied projects and reflections build authentic, verifiable evidence of mastery, not just exam scores.
04
Readiness score
A live GPA, competency profile and university-readiness score show students and schools exactly where they stand.
Seven career pathways
Every topic leads somewhere real.
CMP currently offers seven Grade 10–12 pathways, each with its own year planner, assessments and portfolio projects, all built on the same mathematics spine.
Medicine & Health Sciences
Statistics, screening and epidemiology: the mathematics behind clinical decisions and public health.
Engineering & Applied Technology
Modelling, mechanics and design mathematics for building the physical world.
Architecture
Geometry, proportion and structural mathematics for designed space and form.
Business & Finance
Markets, risk, optimisation and the quantitative language of decision-making.
Technology & Computer Science
Discrete mathematics, algorithms and data structures behind modern computation.
Environmental Science & Sustainability
Climate data, systems modelling and the mathematics of a habitable planet.
Sports Science & Human Performance
Physiology, biomechanics and performance analytics for data-driven athletic development.
The CMP approach
Data architecture first, pages second.
CMP is built on a coherent database of mathematics topics, competencies, curriculum strands, assessment domains, career pathways, university programmes, projects and portfolio evidence. Everything connects.
Framework
Topics, strands, competencies and assessment domains.
Pathways
Careers mapped to real university programmes.
Portfolio
Verified evidence of student growth.
Readiness
University and professional readiness scoring.
